A 3D scanner is a device capable of accurately capturing the surface of an object by generating a point cloud, creating a three-dimensional image of the scanned object.
The generatd point cloud can be trasnformed in a 3D CAD design, this process is known as reverse engineering.
Creating this 3D file through scanning allows us to produce virtual models of a physical object to be manufactured via 3D printing. This provides significant advantages, such as generating digital models of existing objects to compare it with the real object and detect adjustments or deviations through overlay analysis.
