AIDA CCI - CÂMARA DE COMÉRCIO E INDÚSTRIA DO DISTRITO DE AVEIRO

AIDACCI - Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Aveiro District is a private and non-profit multisectoral business chamber of commerce with the purpose of representing, defending, promoting and supporting the interest of the companies. Throughout more than 35 years of activity has created and  updated several services to provide SMEs with permanent support carried out by its different departments (external relations, internationalisation, innovation, legal, professional training, technical support, quality and environment, human resources, Enterprise Europe Network). In 2018 the Association obtained the status of Chamber of Commerce and Industry. With the recognition of the status of Chamber of Commerce and Industry, AIDA CCI saw extended its skills related to the internationalization process of companies. Effectively, among the attributions of a chamber of commerce and industry is to provide services in the field of foreign trade and in promoting of exports.

AIDA CCI establishes a continuous interaction and multidisciplinary partnerships with stakeholders in the region, including companies, associations, national and local authorities, municipal and intermunicipal entities of the scientific and technological system (Altice Labs, PCI - science and innovation park, and Aveiro University, for example), whose active involvement is essential, assuming a strategy of "smart specialization", while promoting economic development based on the focus of internationalisation given to promote research, digitalisation and innovation.

AIDA CCI also integrates several poles of competitiveness and clusters: Pole of Competitiveness of Information Technologies Information TICE.PT, POOLNET- Portuguese Tooling Network; PRODUTECH - Production Technologies Pole and CLUSTER CENTRO HABITAT- Platform for Sustainable Construction.

Its territorial scope of coverage coincides with the geographical area of the district of Aveiro, covering nineteen counties, seven belonging to the Northern Region and twelve to the Central Region.

Among the industry sectors represented by AIDA, one highlights the following industries: metal and metallurgical, chemical, ceramics, footwear, wood, the production of rubber items and plastic materials and food.
